This is the short account of a long journey, on a tandem in 1960, between Portsmouth in Hampshire and Deal in Kent.
The trip was undertaken (or, in some instances, overtaken) by a young wedded couple intent on taking their recently born son to visit his grandparents for the first time.
It's a true story, and I can vouch for that because I was there. (Author's note to would-be readers please don't be misled into thinking the mention of 'vouch' entitles you to any form of free vouchers.)
The story is written in my usual humorous style; and my hope is that you will smile several times whilst reading it, and feel better for the experience - then tell your friends about it.
